Gloria Levine: Creating a Personal Family Legacy

Gloria Levine

Gloria Levine grew up with a traditional Tzedakah box-an important part of most Jewish homes-and was raised with the traditions that surround saving, spending and giving to charity. The family put money in the box and saved it over time to give to charity. Because her husband was a Shriner and also affiliated with the Scottish Rite Masons, Gloria was very familiar with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. After her husband passed away at a relatively young age, Gloria established the Joel and Gloria Levine Loving Care Fund. She gives generously to the fund and, in keeping with her Jewish heritage, sends an annual letter to her children and grandchildren telling them how these gifts are used to benefit others. She hopes they will learn by her example, just as they do from the Tzedakah box in their homes.
